Important shipping information:

Before shipping your order has been inspected, photographed, and crated to protect it from shipping damages. Freight companies are separate entities, when your order is placed on the back of their trucks they are legally responsible for your delivery. Once your order ships, we have little to no control over their service or transit times, we provide you with all the information about your shipment including tracking numbers and what to do if your product is damaged in shipping. Hide-A-Way Doors has accounts with the top 4 rated carriers in the country in order to offer you the best prices to deliver our products to you, however; If you are able to get better shipping rates, or better service using your own provider, we encourage that you do so. At check out choose "customer pick up" and then let us know in customer comments that you are providing your own freight company. For any questions about your delivery, scheduling, or anything else about your shipment (except changing the delivery from curbside or adding any additional services to delivery, in which case contact us asap) after it leaves our facility we encourage you to contact the freight company directly.


Updated Delivery Service

As of 5/19/22 we have added more options to your delivery to make it easier for you. Marked "Extra Delivery Options" at the bottom of each order form you may customize your delivery options to better suit your needs. By choosing "Pick up at HAWD" you are letting us know that you will be picking your order up at our facility. Choosing "Residential Delivery (curbside/ liftgate)" This is a standard type of freight trucking delivery with an added liftgate included. "Residential Inside (garage)" option is an upgraded service in which the drivers will bring your product to the inside of your garage, this does not include any deliveries other than to your garage. Choosing option "Commercial with loading dock" is for deliveries that are shipped to actual commercial locations with loading docks and/ or with a forklift available on site. There is no extra charge for this service as this is a typical delivery type for freight trucks. "Commercial without loading dock" includes a $25 extra fee charged by the fright company to cover driver-assisted unloading including the use of a liftgate. Any upgraded services after the fact must be approved by Hide-A-Way Doors, you will be responsible to pay Hide-A-Way Doors for any extra services. If the freight company cannot complete the delivery due to remote or narrow locations, we will reimburse only the cost of the upgraded services.

Freight costs are calculated at checkout for curbside delivery only; if you need a special service added to your delivery please call us to have that added on before your shipment leaves our facility. If you change the delivery to include any extra service that results in an additional cost, you are responsible to pay Hide-A-Way Doors the full amount of the additional charge. Failure to do so will be reported to all three major credit bureaus. 

Limitation of service: It is the freight company's sole discretion whether a delivery can be completed. Freight drivers will not drive their trucks down long driveways or put themselves, their equipment, or your personal property in danger of damage. If you live on a tight road, culdesac, or anywhere else that restricts a freight truck from pulling in or out, please contact us before your products leave our facility. 

When drivers refuse to complete a delivery because of these situations, you will be able to negotiate a meeting point at a local business parking lot where you can accept the shipment. Scheduling this with the freight company is your responsibility. The freight companies will not refund your money if they can not reach your property. 


Question: I don't own a pick up truck, what am I supposed to do?

Answer: Talk with your installer, and see if you can schedule a pick up for the same day as the installation. 

Question: We do not have an installer, now what?

Answer: Some local big box stores have pick up trucks you can rent.
